FEAM, as a member of the Coalition for Vaccination, welcomes the European Commission recommendation to support EU countries in their efforts to prevent cancer through vaccination against Human papillomaviruses (HPV) and Hepatitis B virus (HBV). Vaccination is a safe and effective way of safeguarding both individuals and communities from communicable diseases that can be prevented through vaccination.
The Coalition for Vaccination is a group of European associations of healthcare professionals and student associations in the field of health and vaccination. Co-chaired by the European Federation of Nurses Associations (EFN), the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME), and the Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union (PGEU), the Coalition supports delivering accurate information to the public, dispelling myths around vaccines and vaccination, and exchanging best practices on vaccination.
