FEAM participates in an ECDC workshop on health threat scenarios

Represented by Professor George Griffin and Laure Guillevic, FEAM Past President and Policy Officer, respectively, FEAM is participating in the “Threat Scenario Review and Strategy Development strategic foresight”, a workshop organised by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). The sessions take place on 23-24 February, in Stockholm.

The event is organized within the framework of the “Future Infectious Disease Threats: A Foresight Approach” project, an initiative coordinated by the ECDC and of which FEAM participates as a corsortium member. It seeks to better coordinate future-oriented efforts with other European Commission institutions toward the creation of a more resilient EU with the freedom to act in accordance with its values and vision.

During the workshop, experts across Europe will review and prepare strategies based on possible threat scenarios in 2040. “A United EU in a Polycrisis World”, “Urban Dominion and Digital Society” and “Building Back Nature” are some of the global contexts that the experts will address during the two days.
