FEAM is proud to welcome a new addition to its network: The Slovenian Medical Academy (SMA).
Established in 2017 by the Slovenian Medical Association, the Slovenian Academy of Medicine represents the professional and ethical highpoint of Slovenian medicine as it brings together experts recognized for their achievements at home and abroad. The mission of the Academy is to promote the professional and ethical practice and advancement of physicians and dentists and medical and dental science in the Republic of Slovenia. The Slovenian Academy of Medicine has also launched a research institute, enabling local experts to carry out key research in medical science.
The inclusion of SMA represents an important step for FEAM. It brings a valuable perspective from Slovenia, contributing to a more diverse and comprehensive understanding of medical practices and research within Europe. The incorporation of SMA also strengthens the collaborative potential of FEAM. By connecting experts from different countries, FEAM gains access to a pool of knowledge and expertise that can be shared among member academies. This fosters a dynamic exchange of ideas, best practices, and research findings, ultimately promoting advancements in medical science throughout the European region.
