Interview with Rúben Castro on the European Beating Cancer Plan

On 29 January 2024, Rúben Castro, FEAM Scientific Policy Officer, was interviewed by the Portuguese health literacy channel, Saúde Mais, to discuss about the European Beating Cancer Plan, the importance of scientific evidence in policy and the new recommendations on cancer screening, which were informed by the SAPEA Evidence Review Report and the GCSA Scientific Opinion.  

The interview took place as part of an invitation from the Portuguese League Against Cancer (LPCC), with whom the channel has a partnership. You can watch the full interview on YouTube.

About the LPCC: 

The Portuguese League Against Cancer (Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro – LPCC) is a non-governmental organisation of public utility, established in April 1941 as a private, non-profit entity. Recognised for its significant social mission, the league operates through five branches located in Angra do Heroísmo (Azores island branch), Coimbra (central branch), Funchal (Madeira island branch), Lisbon (south branch), and Oporto (north branch). Each branch oversees and executes the league’s activities within its respective region.
