Recommendations for the next EU R&I Framework Programme

Following a joint workshop held on 19 February 2024, FEAM and the UK Academy of Medical Sciences have released a report on the next European Union R&I Framework Programme (FP10), set to launch in 2027. The report is the outcome of discussions among experts from 18 FEAM member academies, highlighting the need for sustainable budgeting, reduced red tape, and expanded funding opportunities across clinical research, research infrastructure, and in more countries.

The workshop brought together representatives from 18 academies within the FEAM network to discuss the content, design, and focus areas of FP10. Participants identified key topics and actions to strengthen collaboration among academics across different countries, contributing to the shaping of the upcoming programme.

This event was an important milestone in shaping the future of EU research and innovation, reflecting the collective input and priorities of the FEAM network.
